THE OPPORTUNITY for good causes to have a pre-festive boost is on offer, courtesy of the UK’s leading digital print company.
Among the many services offered by online printers, WTTB, is a range of seasonal items, including bespoke advent calendars.
The company has found itself in the position of having some surplus stock of the Cadbury’s calendars after a customer order was cancelled and – rather than let them go to waste – is now offering them free of charge to charities, schools or community groups which can make use of them.
WTTB is now asking people to contact them urgently – particularly as Advent begins this Monday, 1 December- and they will send them out.
They have 1000 calendars available, which ideally they would like to give out in batches of 200 to three deserving causes.
The company has already made one donation – to Durham’s Willow Burn Hospice – and is now looking to give the remainder away asap.
“We really don’t want the calendars to go to waste so we would much prefer to give them away,” said Louise Stephenson, Managing Director of WTTB.
“There may be organisations which are holding fund raising Christmas events over the next week or so and could sell them on and hopefully make some money for their charity or school.
“We want people to get in touch really quickly so we can get them dispatched so they can receive them before the start of the month.”
The company is happy to hear from anyone interested and who can send them an email explaining why they’d like the calendars and what they would do with them.
“We are quite happy for them to go to food banks or other organisations which may know lots of families who can’t afford an Advent calendar and dish them out to them,” said Louise.
