A regeneration project to reform the York Hill estate in Spennymoor has reached a milestone with the release of its first homes for rent.

The project led by homes and communities business, livin, started 18 months ago and has seen a dramatic physical and community improvement with over £5.4m invested.

A selection of two and three bedroomed properties have been released for rent starting at £79 per week.

Alan Boddy, executive director, housing and business development, said: “The project has come a long way and surpassed our expectations and those of the community. The properties are attracting a lot of attention and we are urging anyone who is interested in renting or buying a home to register their interest quickly to avoid disappointment.”

Available properties will be advertised through Durham Key Options and at livin.co.uk/findahome.
