Manchester Giants stopped the rot after gleefully making a capital gain with victory at London Lions.

Manchester Giants 90 (16, 45, 56) (Attah 17, Gill 16, Williams 15)

There was joy and relief for Manchester Giants and their head coach Yorick Williams after his team halted a six game losing skid to collect a fine 90-82 triumph against London Lions at the Copper Box.

Trailing by double digital after the opening ten minutes when Jaron Lane had impressed for the hosts, it looked like the visitors were set to continue their slump and would head back to the North-West empty handed.

But a second quarter revival sparked by Sam Attah who eventually finished with 17 points, got Giants a much needed foothold in the contest.

With the game delicately balanced at 45-45 during the break, it was Lions who came out strongly in the second half and took control again as they moved 64-56 in front moving into the last period.

When Lane threw one down with less than four minutes remaining on the game clock, Lions looked a lock to finish the job.

But, Giants had other ideas and posted a stunning 12-0 run which culminated in a triple from Attah.

That swung the momentum the way of the away side and they kept their composure to finish in style and condemn Lions to consecutive home defeats.
