Vintage clothes and crafts, nostalgic candy and retro music will be plentiful, and food will be served all day from ARC’s No 60 café with dishes such as homemade gluten free flatbreads, spicy nachos, pasta dishes, fish and chips and Teesside’s top dish, the parmo all on the menu.
Here’s our pick of the top 5 things to do at the Heartisan Festival –
- Pick up some beautifully restored furniture or browse the many vintage craft stalls and take home a unique find.
- Get into the groove and take part in a rock ‘n’ roll dance workshop in ARC’s dance studio at 11.30am and 1pm.
- Enjoy some retro music from vintage songstress Hildy Harland at 10.30am and 3pm in ARC’s No 60 café bar, and then enjoy two-piece ensemble Ragtime Rewind as they perform some true vintage songs from the 1930s and 1950s at 12.30pm and 2pm.
- Browse some beautiful vintage clothes and pick up a bargain that you wouldn’t find anywhere else.
- Enjoy a relaxing lunch at No 60 and try a cup of delicious Tea Pigs flavoured teas, such as Marrakesh Mint and Strong Earl Grey.
Aaron Bowman, ARC’s Business and Community Events Coordinator said: “Anyone who likes all things vintage and retro will really love this event. We are delighted to have such a range of excellent stalls and musicians, and the addition of the free rock ‘n’ roll dance workshops just brings something a bit different to the usual vintage fair. We’re expecting a really great atmosphere, and what’s more, entry is free to all.”
Stalls will come from: Thora’s Attic Vintage Emporium, Resourceful Restoration, My Mad Aunty, Coastal Creations, The Candy Cavern,Violet Crafts, Heartisan Handmade and Tessie’s Textiles.
