Rockliffe Hall scoops three top golf awards

Rockliffe Hall’s multiple award-winning championship golf course has picked up three more awards to add to its display cabinet.

The 59club’s Excellence Awards took place at The Grove in Hertfordshire on Monday night (26th February) where Rockliffe Hall was shortlisted for seven awards, alongside other big hitters in the golf industry including The Belfry Hotel & Resort, Celtic Manor Resort, Emirates Golf Club, Gleneagles and Trump International Golf, Dubai.

Head Greenkeeper, Jon Wyer, won Greenkeeper of the Year; Jon Stacey, Director of Golf, won Golf Manager of the Year; Rockliffe Hall also won the coveted Gold Flag Resort 2018 Award.

Eamonn Elliott, Chief Executive at Rockliffe Hall, says: “It was another successful night for the Rockliffe golf team who won two awards at the same event last year. These accolades reinforce Rockliffe Hall as one of the top venues in the golf industry alongside Gleneagles, The Emirates and The Grove. To win awards together with other big names like this is a fantastic achievement, not least because Rockliffe Hall hasn’t even been open 10 years yet while many of our competitors have been around for decades.”

Designed by Hawtree, the world-renowned course architects, Rockliffe Hall’s 18 hole championship golf course is renowned for being one of the most challenging, and longest, in Europe. Alongside the exceptional course is a fully stocked Pro Shop, extensive practice facilities and driving range, a luxurious yet relaxed clubhouse serving delicious food, and a top quality golf services team, including 3 PGA professionals.
