Royal Northern Sinfonia’s Winter Tour comes to Durham

The musicians of Royal Northern Sinfonia, directed by Artistic Partner Maria Włoszczowska and co-leader Kyra Humphreys, can be found in some of the region’s most beautiful churches and theatres playing a selection of beautiful, atmospheric pieces including music by Bach, Corelli, Vivaldi and Sibelius.

There’s nothing Royal Northern Sinfonia enjoy more than lighting up beautiful buildings with glorious classical music on dark winter nights. Travelling from Carlisle to Cullercoats, Bishop Auckland to Berwick, Hartlepool to Hexham, it’s their biggest tour yet and more music fans in the North will see this spectacular candlelit concert than ever before. Expect to hear the orchestra’s signature blend of classical chart-toppers and lesser-known gems, brimming with energy and excitement.
