Sarah Millican Announces another date at Tyne Theatre & Opera House

Screen Shot 2016-04-11 at 14.33.41Due to phenomenal demand, Tyne Theatre & Opera House are excited to announce another Sarah Millican date on Saturday 24th September. Sarah will now be taking over the theatre’s stage with her Outsider show for an incredible 10 nights in 2016!

The hugely popular comedian is already appearing at Tyne Theatre & Opera House across 4 nights in May and 5 nights in July, with all existing dates either sold out or very close to selling out.

In just 7 years Sarah Millican has gone from winning the Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to becoming one of the UK’s most successful and multi-award-winning comedians, who also holds the record as the highest selling female comedian in the DVD market.

Sarah is a natural storyteller who charms the audience through her skillfully delivered gag-packed anecdotes about life’s curiosities. With a track record of three sell out tours and 700,000 combined tour DVD sales to date, the Outsider tour promises to be another critically acclaimed triumph.

Sarah Millican’s tenth date at Tyne Theatre & Opera House is just one of the many fantastic comedy shows heading to the theatre in 2016, with the likes of Dylan Moran, Lee Nelson, Dave Spikey and Ed Byrne having already appeared despite it only being April! The comedy line-up for the rest of the year is looking equally as exciting, with Katherine Ryan, Joe Lycett, Romesh Ranganathan and Nina Conti all set to appear at the theatre.

Theatre Director Joanne Johnson says: “The demand for tickets to see Sarah Millican has been remarkable, so I’m thrilled we are able to add another date to the diary, giving anyone who may have missed out on the previous dates another chance to snap up tickets – we expect them to fly out as Sarah has proved to be the North East’s favourite comedian.”
