Show brings Country Life to the Heart of Middlesbrough

SEE the country come to town – that’s the promise of one the highlights on Middlesbrough’s calendar.

The 2017 Cleveland Show takes place at Stewart Park on Saturday, July 22, and there’s fun and entertainment guaranteed for the whole family.

The event is sponsored by Askham Bryan College and this year’s main arena attraction is the Jamie Squibb International Motorcycle Stunt Team.

Also appearing in the main arena will be the Sheep Show, the Dog and Duck Show and The Cleveland Clever Canines.

Organisers are pleased to announce the popular return of Ben Potter’s Birds of Prey, who will also feature in the main arena.

Show jumping competitions will take place throughout the day (entries taken on the day), with horse showing events held in their dedicated arenas.

The large marquees play host to livestock, produce and floral displays, while more than 50 artisan craft stalls will have their own tent, alongside the usual wide array of trade stands.

The music marquee returns for 2017, featuring former Journey South star Carl Pemberton and Teesside-based Irish folk band Brigit’s Mantle.

The Children’s Fun and Entertaining marquee will be run by staff from the Parkway Day Nursery and will be open all day with lots of free entertainment including fun competitions with prizes up for grabs.

Also in the marquee will be Jo Jingles fun and interactive pre-school music, singing and movement classes – for babies and children from three months to five years.

Children’s entertainer Tom Rolfe will be putting on fun-filled packed with juggling, unicycling, magic, puppets, circus skills, balloon modelling and more.

Main show sponsor Askham Bryan College will have their own display stand and will be running free hard hat tours of the Lottery-funded renovations currently being undertaken at the Park’s historic buildings.

Admission is £6 adults, £4 children and OAPs, and £15 for a family ticket (two adults, two children). Free parking.
