Craig from Edible Leeds will take visitors on a guided wild forage around the park. There will be a chance to learn about collecting, eating, preserving and experimenting with wild food. Plus, you can expect to sample your tasty edibles in the museum’s Victorian styled Demonstration Kitchen(Saturday 2 April, 10am to 3.30pm).
The farm is coming to Preston Park for Easter! Come along and meet Humbug the goat, Lamb and Dave the sheep, runner ducks, rabbits and chicks (Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April, 10am to 4pm). Then have a go at making your favourite animal in the Farm Puppet and Bunny Mask Family Craft Workshops (Family Workshops every day throughout the holidays).
Experience the great outdoors and join Eaglescliffe Forest School and River Tees Rediscovered,funded by the National Lotteries Heritage Lottery Fund, as they get the whole family involved in making a magical den in the woods (Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 April, 10am to 12pm and 1 to 3pm). Plus, find out about the local birdlife and make your own bird or bat box to take home with Tees Valley Wildlife Trust (Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April, 10am to 2pm).
All activities are free with entry to the museum (Family £5, Adult £2.50, Concession/Child £1.50 and your ticket is valid for a year).
