MUSIC from some of the great pop decades, much-loved homegrown bands and the ultimate singalong experience are just some of the entertainment which will help STACK Seaburn get in the festive spirit.
Sunderland’s container village has just unveiled its packed programme of weekend entertainment which will throughout November and December, featuring a series special party nights which will provide the perfect solution for friends, families or work colleagues wanting to celebrate.
Groups can benefit from a package which costs £21.95 per person, which includes a food voucher which can be used at any of STACK’s many street vendors – which ranges from Greek food courtesy of Acropolis, Bao Down, Brack Burger, Downey’s Fish and Chips, Davey’s Mexicano, Holy Duck, Zza Pizzeria, Seafood and Steak Co to Soju and Gogi.
The packages also includes a drink voucher and a reserved bench for the group for the night.
The party nights kick off on Friday 21 November with a performance by the Pine Barrens, playing rock and pop hits from the 80s and 90s.
They will be followed the next night by Girls Go Pop Tribute, which pays homage to all of the iconic girl groups of the 90s and noughties.
Local favourites The Emerald Thieves will be bringing their particular brand of folky entertainment to the stage on Friday 28 November with Georgia Groove performing a range of dance floor favourites on 29 November.
North East regulars The Waiters, who have a huge following, will be bringing their own party groove to STACK Seaburn on Friday 5 December while Spilt Milk will perform a range of indie, pop and rock classics the following night, as well as on Friday 19 December.
It wouldn’t be Christmas without the return of a STACK Seaburn favourite, with the sing and dance along Kroud Karaoke on December 12.
And those who are nostalgic for the greatest hits of the 70s won’t want to miss Luv Bug’s 70s Disco Show on Saturday 13 December, featuring some of the best music of that era.
The party nights wind up in real style, with a tribute to one of the most popular pop acts of all time. ABBA Fabulous includes singers and a stage show, which will feature all of the classic supergroup’s hits on December 20.
Groups of eight or more can book a bench in advance to guarantee their seats for the entire night although walk-ins are also welcome.
Weekend entertainment begins at 8pm, with benches bookable from 6pm.
