Stepping Forward For Global Entrepreneurship Week

THE world’s biggest campaign to promote entrepreneurship is to be celebrated again next month (November) by members of the Middlesbrough Business Forum.

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) marks its eleventh anniversary with backing from schools, universities, local authorities, businesses and enterprise support groups.

GEW 2014 – under the theme of ‘Get Connected’ – runs from Monday, November 17 to Sunday, November 23, with the focus on providing access to practical support and networks for current and aspiring business people.

The campaign also attracts and engages high-profile entrepreneurs who are enthusiastic about sharing their personal experiences and insights to inspire others.

The annual event aims to develop an entrepreneurial culture in the UK, giving access to business start-up information, networking, mentoring and local funding.

The Breakfast Exchange helps them keep up to date with current issues, raise their profile in the regional business community and support the town’s on-going development.

This month’s event will also feature the popular ‘Business in the   Spotlight’ feature, enabling businesses to hear first-hand from a local   entrepreneur about their business experience.

The sessions, led by business expert Haani Ul Hasnain of Harmonised World, will be packed with information on everything from business mapping to personal development, and delegates will receive practical advice which is easy to follow and implement.

The Innovation Elevator is a programme of talks and workshops which gives practical tools, connections and energy to help grow your business. The programme is open to new and established businesses based in the North East of England. The Business Breakthrough programme will take place on November 20, January 14 and February 10 from 9am-5pm, at DigitalCity, Boho One. The event is free to delegates, however a refundable deposit of £75 is required. Places are limited to 20.
