Screen Shot 2015-11-03 at 16.37.36STOCKTON’S Riverside is set to come alive with light and music as X Factor star Josh Daniel takes to the stage as part of the annual fireworks display.

Billingham resident Josh recently wowed the judges with his soulful performances but now returns to dazzle the crowds from the stage at the BBC Tees Radio Roadshow, hosted by Ali Brownlee and Lisa McCormick from 6pm.

Fireworks can also be expected from Katy Perry tribute act, Katy Kerry, and the comedian Patrick Monahan brings a family-friendly version of his national stand-up routine to Stockton.

Residents and visitors can enjoy the display itself, set to famous pieces of sci-fi music, from 7.30pmfor approximately 25 minutes.

Councillor Norma Wilburn, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Arts, Leisure and Culture, said: “There is fantastic entertainment on offer and they will have the crowds fired up for what is set to be a spectacular display lighting up Stockton’s Riverside.

“We are also thinking of the families affected by the recent closure of the steelworks in Redcar and, on behalf of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council and the other Tees Valley authorities, we hope they enjoy this free display.”
