Strapped for cash? Earn up to £6,000 for your classic games consoles

Some of the greatest memories ever made were playing on old school retro gaming consoles, whether you swore by the NES, the Sega Genesis, or the PlayStation, they all bring back a nostalgic feeling that is close to our hearts.

So, if you have an old console lying around, maybe you have a Game Boy Classic or Dreamcast packed away, you’ve probably wondered how much your old video game console is worth – especially if you’ve heard stories about retro gaming systems selling for thousands.

To find this out, Top10Casinos.com delved into data to find out how much YOU can sell your old video game consoles for. To do so, they collated a seed list of the most popular, classic games consoles and using an established UK ecommerce site, the study revealed the most valuable console.

Hitting number one is the ‘Pokemon Limited Edition Game Boy Color Nintendo VGA 90’ – if you have one of these laying around, you could sell it for a huge £6,000! This console came out in 1996 and is worth up to nearly 60 times its original RRP.

Coming in at number two is the popular, well-loved Original Sony Playstation 1, released in 1995. This classic is selling for a massive £5,000 – a huge price for something that has a pile of dust on top, or that you even forgot you had!

Third place is the Nintendo Entertainment System, an 8-bit third-generation home video game console produced by Nintendo. This golden oldie, released in 1985, is selling for up to £4,572! With the RRP being £300, you can make up to 15x the original amount paid!

Fourth place is the Original Nintendo 64, a family loved home video game console! This console was released in 1996 and is selling for a large £3,674.

Rounding off in fifth place is the limited-edition yellow-and-blue Pikachu Nintendo 64 Set N64 console, featuring a raised-relief Pikachu on top, selling for £3,600.
