Mintronics is a well-established supplier of Engineering and Technical software solutions, as well as delivering specialist training at different locations in the UK

John Minto, MD, is excited to add the FEA software package to his other three products as he feels it complements the offering that he can provide to his current customer base of over 1400 companies.

John says ‘we have been very privileged to have been working with Dlubal for the last year, during this time we have been extremely impressed with the product and back up provided. Signing the agreement means that we will now implement our second stage strategy of selecting a structural engineering business in the North East to help us with the delivery of product and training. Dlubal are confident that this strategy will work as it is the model that Mintronics have perfected over the last 6 years – and has enabled us to distribute software form one of the biggest 3D companies in America – 3D-Systems, the inventors of 3D printing.’

Previously Dlubal Structural Analysis Software has been supported and sold direct from Germany; this means it is not new to the UK market. There are an impressive list of reference sites including: the Eden Project (case study 37); and the foyer of the Scottish Parliament building (case study 38) – https://www.dlubal.com/en/rstab-structure-gallery-seite-8.aspx – making it a proven solution, with pedigree.

One of the strengths of Dlubal is the fact that it handles Eurocodes, this enables growing companies to carry work in other areas of Europe – making this deal fantastic for the North Eastern and UK economy. Dlubal can perform structural analysis calculations in: steel; aluminium; concrete; wood; and even glass, meaning it is excellent for modern sustainable designers.

John Minto is currently looking to make contact with a single North East based architectural or construction firm that currently does FEA analysis in house, with the aim of emulating the model that has proven successful for Mintronics in the past. The successful company will benefit from the relationship by being free issued with the full Dlubal software suit, and earning commission on UK sales of licenses and delivery of training.
