Ryedale District Council, in partnership with York & North Yorkshire Waste Partnership (YNYWP) is holding a subsidised one-day sale of compost bins on Saturday 26th September at the Council’s Streetscene Depot in Showfield Lane, Malton YO17 6BT.
The Council has negotiated the deal for the benefit of residents who may not wish to subscribe to the garden waste collection service.
A 220 litre Compost Converter bin is just £8 and the 330 litre version is £9 – a fraction of the recommended retail price of £34.95!
Bins must be pre-ordered and paid for in advance as there will be no cash sales on the day.
Bins can be ordered anytime from Monday 24th August by telephoning YNYWP on (01609) 532512 (8:30am – 5pm Mon to Thu & 8:30am – 4:30pm Fri)
The telephone hotline to accept orders is open from 8:30 am on Monday 24th August to the deadline of 5pm on Thursday 24th September 2015 (2 days before the sale).
Residents will be able to purchase a maximum of two compost bins per household at the subsidised price. Demand is expected to be high and stocks are strictly limited.
