Sunderland Health Forum – November 2017

NHS Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) will hold its next Sunderland Health Forum on Thursday 16th November and Friday 17th November 2017.

The Sunderland Health Forum provides an opportunity for patients, public, carers, and local communities to help shape decisions about health services in Sunderland.  Two meetings are held four times a year, once during the day, and once during the evening, in order to increase the opportunity for people to attend.

NHS Sunderland CCG’s deputy chief officer, Debbie Burnicle, said: “As a CCG, we are determined to hear the voices of patients, as its these comments that can make a real difference and improve the way we plan and operate services.”

“The forum is somewhere where we can talk with Sunderland residents and provides an opportunity to share their opinions with decision-makers from the CCG, allowing them to contribute directly to decisions affecting healthcare provision.”

In response to feedback from the previous forums the CCG’s November forum will be focussed on dementia. The event will look at clinical signs and care pathways, it will also include information about the Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme.

The next Sunderland Health Forum meetings will take place on:

Thursday 16th November 2017 at Bede Tower, Sunderland SR2 7EA

Friday 17th November 2017 at Bede Tower, Sunderland SR2 7EA
