Tilly Bailey & Irvine Law Firm has assisted Butler & Gee Accountants in its acquisition of the business of Michael Hanby Accountants, allowing Michael Hanby himself to retire after trading in Barnard Castle for over 25 years.
Taking over from Mr Hanby is fellow Barnard Castle practice Butler & Gee Accountants, who will continue to provide services from their existing premises at 7 Newgate, Barnard Castle.
They are therefore comfortably poised to provide the same high level of professional service that they have been giving their existing clients for the past 22 years.
The practice is operated from both Barnard Castle and Shotley Bridge and headed by directors Chris Butler, Darren Gee and Pauline Henderson.
Chris Butler stated “we really are delighted that Michael chose Butler & Gee to take on his clients and to look after them going forward and apply the same principles and standards that our existing clients benefit from”.
The Corporate Team of North East law firm Tilly Bailey & Irvine, which recently celebrated over 175 years in business, represented Butler & Gee Accountants.
Corporate Solicitor Michael Stevens, based at the commercially-focused Wynyard office of Tilly Bailey & Irvine Law Firm, commented that “it was great to work with another professional services firm based nearby to our own firm’s Barnard Castle office, and also to see Mr Hanby get his well-earned retirement safe in the knowledge that his longstanding clients will be well looked after.”
TBI will not be far from its recent clients, what with its own separate office of solicitors in Barnard Castle.
