Transporter Closed due to Technical Fault

THE Tees Transporter Bridge is closed due to a gear box failure. Specialist engineers are due on site today (Friday, April 15) to assess the problem and it is a hoped a repair can be carried out shortly.

A Middlesbrough Council spokesman said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to Bridge users, and hope to have it back in action before long.”
