Turnover and profit growth for Nigel Wright Group

Nigel Wright Group, the international recruitment consultancy headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne, has delivered results showing a significant growth from 2015.

Its latest accounts for the year ended 30th April 2016 showed turnover and gross profit increase by 9% to £16.6m and 8% to £12.0m respectively.

EBITDA before exceptional administrative expenses for the period increased by 34% to £943k and cashflow from operating activities also improved significantly.

Nigel Wright Group have continued their growth strategy opening two more offices in Gothenburg (Sweden) and Teesside, re-establishing its Amsterdam (Netherlands) office, and now have a record number of specialist recruitment consultants, bringing extensive experience and knowledge from a variety of industries, working from a network of 13 European offices.

Paul Wilson, CEO, who joined the group in January 2014 has overseen the turnaround of the group.  Paul commented: “The results reflect the hard work and commitment of the management team and all the employees here at Nigel Wright.  We have a strong reputation for delivering the highest levels of service and we will always look to improve customer satisfaction.  We continued to gain market share and develop relationships with SMEs, Private Equity backed businesses and multinational corporations, as well as preserving long standing connections with companies in the North East from where our origins began.”

Paul Wilson also commented: “In addition to the new offices, we broke various internal records during the year.  We now employ nearly 140 people across Europe, the greatest number of consultants in our history, had the highest number of new starters last year and are placing candidates in more territories than ever before.  A testament to the dedication of all our people through the year.”
