TV’s Candice Brown looking forward to Bishop Auckland Food Festival debut

One of Britain’s most recognisable bakers is looking forward to visiting the North East as she brings her showstopping style to this year’s Bishop Auckland Food Festival.

Winner of the 2016 Great British Bake Off thanks to her unique creations, Candice Brown will be sharing her baking tips in the Cookery Theatre at Bishop Auckland Town Hall on Sunday, 22 April.

Having started baking at just four years old, the former secondary school teacher wowed judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood to be crowned winner and has since become a full-time baker and TV personality.

Candice, who competed in the most recent series of Dancing on Ice, has also released her first book Comfort: Delicious Bakes and Family Treats which is filled with her generous, no nonsense recipes.

“I’m looking forward to making my festival debut in Bishop Auckland,” said Candice.

“I can’t wait to see what delights are on offer as well as meeting fellow food and baking fans.”

Candice joins ITV This Morning’s Phil Vickery as part of a fantastic menu of special guests and live demonstrations, with more celebrity chefs to be announced over the coming weeks.

Tickets for both Candice and Phil’s demonstrations are now available to buy at just £5 from www.bishopaucklandfoodfestival.co.uk with limited seats available.
