Two senior appointments strengthen NBS team

NBSthe leading global provider of technical information, specification and BIM tools to construction industry professionals has announced they have filled two senior roles to head up their new business development team.

Sascia Elliott, Head of Partnerships and Rowena Wallace, Director of Business Development, will play vital roles in supporting the company’s ambitious growth plans to recruit an entire team, to focus on developing the business in the UK and internationally.

In the newly created roles, Sascia, will be building key partnerships for the company, on a national and global level, while Rowena will be identifying, developing and supporting customer relationships. Key to her role will be to see customer acquisition, revenue growth and wider roll-out and adoption of the NBS product portfolio. Both staff will be based at the company’s head office, at Newcastle’s Old Post Office.

Sascia is a qualified solicitor, with significant commercial experience in both the private sector and NHS. In particular she has worked on disruptive technology projects backed by private equity investment and her most recent venture was the launch of the UK’s first legal comparison site, The Law Superstore.

Her experience in commercial roles has been dedicated to helping start-ups and recovering businesses to drive business performance.

Rowena has over 20 years’ experience in business development, working for Johnston Press, Newsquest and The Daily Mail and General Trust Group. Her experience in generating revenue growth and winning top tier clients for both start up and established organisations, has made her a talented leader in her discipline.

She has extensive knowledge in building a successful corporate strategy for UK and overseas organisations, understanding business drivers and value selling technologies to drive new business.

Through her leadership and mentoring roles, she has enhanced sales and business development capabilities through rigorous training and long term relationship building.

Sascia said: “NBS is at the forefront of driving change through technology and has truly inspiring plans to expand its global reach. In my role I hope to contribute to that end from a commercial and legal perspective. There are certainly great times ahead for us as a business.”

Rowena added: “I am looking forward to joining the new team at NBS and supporting them through an exciting time, to ensure it sustains an advantage and develop new business, in the competitive, global market place.”

Helen Whitfield, Chief Operating Officer at NBS said: “We would like to welcome Sascia and Rowena to our team. This is a really exciting time for NBS and they have both proven they have the experience to help support our business growth strategy, grow relationships and partnerships in the UK and abroad.”

NBS launched its subsidiary company, NBS Knowledge PTY, in Australia in January 2017 and at the same time announced its acquisition of Digicon Information Inc, a Canadian publication and consulting company which provides specification data in Canada and North America.
