UYERS SHOW INTEREST IN BISHOPS WALK…

HOUSE hunters from across the North East have converged on Durham to get a first glimpse of an exclusive new development.

Miller Homes North East’s Bishops Walk development, at Bent House Lane, has attracted considerable interest since it was announced earlier this year, with enquiries from potential buyers across the UK.

And more than 200 people attended an information event hosted by Miller Homes at Ramside Hall Hotel, Carrville, County Durham, earlier this month (Tuesday 10 October), to learn more about it.

The development, just a short walk from the city centre and overlooking the Cathedral, will consist of 235 homes ranging from two to five bed properties.

It is planned that the variety of housing will foster a vibrant, multi-generational  community and 59 of the properties will be a combination of affordable rent and discounted market sale.

Landscaping has been integral to the design process with plenty of natural planting and the use of a mix of materials to reflect the surrounding area.

And it is expected the first buyers will be able to move onto the Bishops Walk site in spring 2024.

The informal, free event gave potential buyers the chance to view the various house types on offer, register their interest in specific plots and seek advice and guidance about the house buying process from solicitors and financial advisors.

“There’s been a real buzz around this development from the outset,” said Lindsey Oliver, Sales Manager at Miller Homes North East, “and that was particularly evident at the information evening.

“The site’s location, within sight of the cathedral, is proving immensely attractive to potential buyers and we are all counting down now to 2 November, when selling gets underway.”
