Invasion – from October 3 to January 17 – brings together iconic costumes, props and even alien invaders themselves from Star Trek to Stargate and Alien to Andromeda.
The exhibition will bring visitors face to face with fearsome monsters from some of the world’s best-known sci-fi franchises.
Highlights include an exclusive, first time display of amazing early Transformers-themed ‘Robo Machines’ original comic artwork by late Middlesbrough artist Mario Capaldi.
And the Dorman is on the look-out for local people with a little spare to join a team of volunteers to help with the day-to-day running of the show.
Senior Museums Curator Phil Philo said: “As with other recent projects, we can only make a show like ‘Invasion’ available to visitors by charging admission because of the considerable hire fee for the exhibits.
“We are therefore selling tickets at the reception/shop desk and will need someone at the exhibition entrance to check tickets and to invigilate the space.”
Admission to ‘Invasion’ at the Dorman Museum will be £4 adults, £2.50 concessions and £10 family.
