- Multivan achieves the best result in its history
- ID. Buzz with more than 60,000 deliveries worldwide
- Caddy and Crafter again with increases
- Transporter enters the markets, further derivatives to follow in 2026
Hannover, 15 January 2026 – Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWCV) delivered a total of 393,700 vehicles to customers last year – including North America with the ID. Buzz, the figure stood at 401,000. Worldwide, the ID. Buzz in particular recorded strong growth of 102 percent year‑on‑year: 60,700 customers around the world received their new ID. Buzz. An increase of 31 percent to 38,700 Multivan units delivered helped the spacious wonder from Hannover achieve the best year in its long history. In 2025, VWN doubled the number of all‑electric vehicles to 65,900 worldwide, corresponding to a share of 16.4 percent.
“2025 brought many challenges but also real highlights for us at VWCV,” said Lars Krause, Member of the Board of Management for Sales, Marketing and Aftersales at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. “The ID. Buzz continues to grow steadily, is the clear market leader in its segment in Europe, and is further expanding this position. Worldwide, we exceeded the threshold of 60,000 vehicles – despite the slow market ramp‑up for all‑electric transporters, particularly in the USA. Our second vehicle from Hannover also delights our customers: Never before have so many Multivan been delivered as in 2025. A real highlight! The Transporter, as the third vehicle in our Bulli trio, entered the markets in 2025 and is step by step catching up with the success of its predecessor: a total of around 71,200 Transporter units in 2025 is a solid result. The derivatives coming in 2026 and the expansion of our digital services, especially for commercial customers, will help us further strengthen our market position. Vehicles from our Polish plants are also showing renewed growth: We delivered more than 183,000 Caddy and Crafter units to our customers. Again – top results!”
ID. Buzz continues to grow and strengthens market position
The ID. Buzz remains the leading electric transporter in the B‑segment in Europe and continues to be very strong among commercial customers: around 46 percent are Cargo versions. VWCV will expand this segment in 2026 and will also introduce the ID. Buzz Cargo with a long wheelbase. Despite difficult market and customs conditions, 7,300 ID. Buzz units were delivered in North America last year, bringing total deliveries to 60,700 vehicles.
Record year for the Multivan, solid result for the Transporter
The Multivan embodies the brand promise of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles: space for needs and dreams. 2025 was the strongest year yet for the space wonder from Hannover. Thanks to 31 percent growth to a total of 38,700 vehicles, the Multivan surpassed all previous years. On the same technical basis, another 14,200 California models were added in 2025. “Multivan and California performed very well in 2025, and I’m already looking forward to the updates we will present in 2026: a completely modernized cockpit, refreshed design, and modern drivetrains – the Multivan delivers,” said Lars Krause. The new Transporter was introduced in further markets last year. In 2026, customers will have an even greater variety of models to choose from: 13 body variants including the legendary double‑cab Transporter, eleven powertrain options including new PHEV and BEV all‑wheel‑drive versions, up to nine cubic meters of cargo volume, over four square meters of loading area, payloads up to 1.33 tons, and towing capacities up to 2.3 tons – offering the right configuration for every application.
Caddy again clearly above 100,000 vehicles
In 2025, the Caddy again exceeded the 100,000‑vehicle mark by far: 110,400 vehicles represent another increase compared with the previous year (107,200). Since 2025, VWCV’s city delivery van has also been available as a PHEV version, enabling purely electric driving – just like the ID. Buzz, Transporter, Multivan, and California – making it the modern version of the family van and urban delivery vehicle for private and commercial customers.
Crafter continues growth trajectory, plant expansion secures electric future
The Crafter, VWCV’s largest commercial vehicle, again increased deliveries in 2025, reaching 73,000 vehicles (previous year: 71,900). In December 2025, the foundation stone for production expansion for the next generation of the e‑Crafter was laid at the Crafter plant in Września, Poland. This will allow the Crafter to complete VWCV’s electric portfolio going forward.
Amarok faces a challenging year
The new Amarok reached 30,100 deliveries, below the previous year’s figure of 33,700, primarily due to the phasing‑out of the first Amarok generation in South America. Only 1,000 vehicles were delivered to customers there in 2025 – compared with 18,400 in the previous year. Work on the Amarok successor for the South American market is in full progress at Volkswagen Passenger Cars. At the end of 2025, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles introduced the Amarok Dark Label in the first markets – a stylish all‑wheel‑drive pick‑up that already had many fans in its previous generation.
