Water charity event set to rock

An event which promises to rock, and will see funds roll into charity, is set to return for the second year.

Northumbrian Water’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Bingo, returns to the Biscuit Factory in Newcastle following its success last year, and is joined by headline sponsors, Integrated Water Services (IWS) once again.

Held on Friday October 18, 2019 at 7.00pm, Rock ‘n’ Roll Bingo differs from regular bingo, where numbers will be replaced with rock and roll song titles for guests to mark off as the songs play.

Money raised at the evening will go towards WaterAid projects in Madagascar, where the water company’s charity partner is working to transform the lives of families by installing taps and toilets in communities where there are none.

Organiser Janine Rillands, from Northumbrian Water, said: “We’re very excited about our second Rock ‘n’ Roll Bingo event in aid of WaterAid. Last year’s Bingo event was such a huge success and we had so many people asking if it will return, so we had to bring it back!

“We’re always looking for new ways to raise money for WaterAid while offering a fun night in the process and this event is sure to do just that. People might not realise it at the time, but they’ll literally be helping us to transform lives.

“We’re also looking forward to welcoming our headline sponsors IWS back for the second year. We′re grateful to them for their support as we strive to help make a difference to families who don’t have a tap to turn on and we’re looking forward to sharing the evening with them.”

IWS, a national business with headquarters based in the West Midlands, is one of Northumbrian Water′s framework partners and has worked with the company for nearly 20 years.

The company is a specialist mechanical and electrical designer, managed service provider, principal contractor and optimisation specialist for the water utilities sector.

Simon Dray, Managing Director of IWS, said “We are very proud to be sponsoring this year’s Rock and Roll Bingo Event, as we know how WaterAid makes a positive impact on the health, happiness and quality of life for millions of people across the world.

“If we all help a little, we can leave a lasting legacy and change lives forever”.

Tables can be purchased for £500 for a table of ten, or individual tickets priced at £50 per person. This includes a two course meal, table wine, bingo cards and the chance to win some amazing prizes.

Other sponsorship opportunities are also available from £250.
