A STATE-OF-THE-ART website designed to help attract millions of pounds of investment in Middlesbrough has been developed by the town’s fastest growing digital marketing agency.

The newly launched ‘Invest Middlesbrough’ website features 60 pages of information, news, videos and graphics, in seven languages, showcasing everything the town has to offer to businesses, employers and entrepreneurs regionally, nationally and globally.

It has been billed as the ‘go to’ place for those wanting to become a part of Council-led plans to attract £700m of investment to Middlesbrough, create 5,000 jobs and develop thousands of homes and modern office space.

The website was designed and built within a four-week deadline by local agency Espresso Web working closely with new client Middlesbrough Council.

“We needed a platform to highlight everything that is happening in the town – a website that gives key information to support businesses already here and attract external businesses into Middlesbrough,” said the Council’s principal digital media officer Tim Whitehead.

“We were keen to find a local company to work on it and Espresso Web has done everything we asked of them, all within an incredible three and a half weeks. The results are amazing.”

The newly launched website – www.investmiddlesbrough.co.uk – has been designed to provide full coverage of all Middlesbrough has to offer businesses across every sector from manufacturing and retail to healthcare, digital and leisure.

It will play a crucial role in securing investment goals set out in the Council’s ambitious Investment Prospectus, which was officially launched last week and will see millions of pounds ploughed into developments including a new Media and Innovation Village, high end town centre office space, a snow centre at Middlehaven and a student village linked to Teesside University.

It is the first-time Espresso Web has worked with Middlesbrough Council and the success of the website launch has already led to talks on future projects.

“It was a significant contract for us and we jumped at the chance to be involved in something this big,” said sales team leader Andy Taylor, who is based at Espresso Web’s head office on Riverside Park.

“We worked closely with the Council to bring their vision to life and hopefully this 60-page website will help attract plenty more companies from outside the region into Middlesbrough, because it is an excellent town with an exciting future.”

Espresso Web recently moved into larger premises at Brighouse Business Village to accommodate an expanding workforce and support month-on-month sales growth. The full-service digital marketing agency offers search engine optimisation (SEO) services, website design and social media marketing.
