Whole host of new table tennis sessions at Bishop Auckland

Bishop Auckland Table Tennis Club is set to launch 4 brand new table tennis sessions in October, “Our mission has always been to offer table tennis for everyone, these new sessions really help us to offer even more opportunities to play table tennis for the community” – Matt Porter Club Chairman.

“Listening to feedback from users and the community we have set up: a new bat and chat session, daytime disability sessions, family sessions and we have teamed up with SportWorks to run sessions for people with additional needs”

Starting on Wednesday the 4th of October at the Auckland Youth and Community Centre, the club is starting disability sessions 10.30 – 12.30 which includes a drink and social time.

Thanks to support of Believe housing and Table Tennis England the “Bat and Chat” sessions are starting at the AYCC on Fridays at 10.30-12.00. The sessions are social table tennis designed just for fun with chatting encouraged, ideal if you are looking to get more active.

Saturdays see the introduction of new Family sessions – thanks to support from Bishop Auckland and Shildon AAP. Sessions will be weekly, 10.30-12.30 and cost £5 per family.  All other sessions are £3 per person with equipment provided.

Finally, the Club has partner up with SportWorks to run an additional needs session, combined with arts, crafts, and games every other Saturday starting at 10.00 on the 12th October.
