The UNESCO Associated School Award was a result of a collaborative partnership between Wolsingham School and Most Education, which is the North-East not-for-profit organisation for intercultural relations, educational opportunities and school partnerships.
“It was a year-long application process and the application form had to go before a big committee at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. I am delighted to be involved in bringing this recognition to the first maintainedschool in the North-East.
There will be so many great opportunities to come and the children of Wolsingham School will all make wonderful ambassadors of the North-East to the bigger World,” comments Most Education Founder Lana Briton.
