It’s just 14 days until fans around the globe can start to enjoy regular British Basketball League and Women’s British Basketball League action live and for free via the BBC Sport website.

The opening game of the BBC’s coverage this season will be from the University of Worcester Arena on Friday 02 December, when the hometown Wolves face Bristol Flyers in something of a derby duel as Andreas Kapoulas and his Flyers side make the relatively short journey up the M5.

A week later, there’s a superb double-header from the Leicester Sports Arena as the women feature for the first time. The high-flying hosts will entertain another club who are in red-hot form as they meet Manchester Mystics in an eagerly awaited WBBL Cup Semi-Final clash. That will be followed by the Riders men stepping out against arch rivals and fellow title favourites Esh Group Eagles Newcastle in another mouth-watering match-up.

There’s an inevitably intense Yorkshire derby lined up on Friday 16 December when DBL Sharks Sheffield welcome Leeds Force and after the Christmas break, Glasgow Rocks will enjoy a visit from Cheshire Phoenix to the Emirates Arena on Friday 30 December.

The Rocks also feature in the first live game of the new calendar year, but this time they cross the border and head to Sport Central to re-ignite one of the fiercest rivalries in the British game as they take on the Eagles.

It’s then on to the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham for the 2017 British Basketball Cup Finals, which will also be shown on the BBC red button. There will be the chance to watch a chapter of history unfold via the inaugural WBBL Cup Final at midday, which will be followed by a Dunk Contest at 2pm and the BBL Cup Final at 3.30pm.
