You’d be mad not to bring the whole family to Blyth this Easter Saturday as Ridley Park hosts Blyth Town Council’s free Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.
The event, on Saturday 31st March will take place from 11am to 3pm and will feature an Easter egg hunt, an Easter bonnet parade, a decorated egg competition, children’s rides and arts and crafts workshops. In addition, colourful characters from Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass will entertain and interact with the children and families attending the free event.
The event is supported by Mister Ridley’s Vintage Parlour, Asda, Carnival Rides and Active Northumberland. The event will also help to raise funds for Blyth Rotary Club and the RNLI.
Councillor Kath Nisbet is looking forward to the event.” This is a great way to spend part of the Easter weekend. We encourage every to come down to Ridley Park and enjoy some good old fashioned family fun.”
Blyth Town Council’s Mayor, John Potts added,” Easter is a great family festival and what better place to hold a party than Ridley Park? We have a well deserved reputation for hosting free family orientated events, indeed, over the last year, we have attracted more than 50,000 people to the town to take part in a number of high profile events for residents and visitors of all ages. I’m sure every one, young or old will be grinning like the Cheshire Cat on Easter Saturday.”
