‘185%’ growth for 0800 Repair Gas

Leading heating, gas, insulation and renewables firm 0800 Repair Gas is set for further expansion after experiencing 185% growth in the number installations over the last 12 months.

The Houghton le Spring-headquartered business is set to complete 10,000 boiler installations this year, compared to the 3,500 in 2016. In addition, the number of weekly installation and maintenance jobs by 0800 Repair Gas increased from a 293 average to 850 during the same period.

The growth follows a successful 2017 for the firm as it became a national provider, on the back of securing a five year, eight-figure deal to deliver a range of ECO services as sole provider to npower, including boiler installations, as well as loft and cavity wall insulation.

0800 Repair Gas has also increased its offering to customers, building on the launch of its insulation division to provide additional, energy saving benefits.

Established as a subsidiary of Pacifica Group in 2010, 0800 Repair Gas, which forms part of Pacifica Home Services, has increased its workforce to 160, with turnover set to rise to in excess of £20m.

Pacifica Group is one of the UK’s largest providers of home services and product warranty, which handles in excess of 4,000 jobs per week and employs more than 450 staff. The Group comprises of Pacifica Home Services, Pacifica Appliance Services and UK Warranty.

Phil Pallister, Owner and Managing Director of 0800 Repair Gas, said: “It has been a strong year for 0800 Repair Gas and the Group as a whole, with a number of successful deals brokered and the delivery of additional services to customers. Our growth can be attributed to the significant increased demand, particularly in terms of boiler installations and other energy saving measures.

“The npower deal is the company’s largest to date and was a major signal of intent that has allowed us to become a national firm, at least five years ahead of schedule. We are looking to build on this period of positivity and exceptional growth with future job creation that will allow us to meet strong demand for our services.”
