A Local Darlington Business has seen promising growth in 2015 as a result of the popularity of group events such as team building and stag dos. This has led to the potential expansion plans for BubbleBall UK in the North East.
BubbleBall has been inspired by football but has been adapted with a modern-day twist. The players are strapped into a large inflatable bubble which covers them from the thigh upward meaning that they are able to play football while using the Bubbleball as a shield to bounce opponents away.
Originally started up in 2013 Jason Rose had a 50% share in the company. After recently buying out his business partner in 2015, Jason now Managing Director has turned his efforts to growing BubbleBall. Jason runs the business himself and employs a team of dedicated and enthusiastic staff to run the weekend sessions, which has allowed him to concentrate on the business development and administration.
Over the last few months BubbleBall has been inundated with children’s birthday parties and stag parties from all over the UK including London, Bristol, Liverpool, Glasgow, Dublin and Belfast. As well as this BubbleBall have seen the launch of their new website (www.bubbleballuk.com) and their North East team has expanded from 2 people up to 7, which includes Jason and 6 Event Coordinators.
Jason explains “During the Christmas period we are flooded with requests for Christmas parties for mostly either youth sports teams (10yrs +) or work Christmas functions. For the corporate functions it is often seen as a more entertaining and healthier alternative to spending a night on the town.”
Now approaching the third year BubbleBall has its sights set on vast expansion into Yorkshire as business is booming and demand is increasing year on year. BubbleBall are hoping to have a team of Event Coordinators based in Leeds and would like to cover the likes of Bradford, Harrogate, York and Sheffield.
