25 apprenticeships on offer at college open event

The wide range of roles available to 16 to 24-year-olds from local employers include apprenticeships in engineering, plumbing, construction, manufacturing, business administration, motor vehicle, childcare, sports leadership, digital social media, and marketing.

The college is also recruiting for full and part-time courses starting this month across all curriculum areas. They include Level 2 and 3 courses in: art and design; beauty therapy; business; catering and hospitality; childcare; construction; hairdressing; health and social care; IT; motor vehicle; music and performing arts; photography; sport; and uniformed services.

In addition, there are a number of higher education programmes available, including HNCs, HNDs, NVQ Diplomas and Foundation Degrees in a wide range of disciplines, with engineering courses up to HNC level available at South West Durham Training in Newton Aycliffe.

Prospective students will also have the opportunity to tour facilities including the recording studios, sports hall and fitness gym, and meet specialist tutors and careers staff to discuss the courses and apprenticeships available.
