Middlesbrough residents are being invited to put forward projects to improve wellbeing and local environments.
They’ll become part of the pioneering One Planet Middlesbrough – Creating Sustainable Communities initiative which is helping residents live more sustainably and reduce household bills by providing support and advice.
One Planet Middlesbrough is now on the look-out for people who may have relevant skills, knowledge and experience but need a bit of extra support to get a project off the ground.
They’re keen to hear from anyone with an idea for a project to join the existing network of community initiatives already helping to improve lives throughout the town.
Successful initiatives will help residents:
- become aware of how climate change affects them and their homes
- use less energy in the home
- reuse and recycle materials and reduce waste
- walk and cycle more and use the car less
- grow their own vegetables and fruit and buy more local produce
- be involved in One Planet Middlesbrough activities
Anyone with an idea or project to put forward is invited to contact One Planet Middlesbrough on 01642 243183 or email oneplanetmbro@menvcity.org.uk
Proposals must be received by Friday, June 26.
