Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

R&B legend Alexander O’Neal comes to Tyne Theatre & Opera House!

Tyne Theatre & Opera House are thrilled to welcome American R&B superstar Alexander O’Neal to their stage on Monday 8th October.

With a music career that spans more than 40 years, Alexander O’Neal has come a long way since he was signed by Prince back in 1981.  One of R&B’s most iconic names, he has 14 singles to his name with chart smash Criticize still lighting up dance floors and airwaves across the world thirty years after its release.

With two Gold albums – the eponymously titled Alexander O’Neal and All True Man – as well as the triple platinum selling album Hearsay, his place in the R&B Hall of Fame is well and truly deserved.

2018 will see the release of Alexander’s first album in almost ten years, and fans are in for a treat when they hear how one of the great soul voices has matured since he last ventured into the studio.

With the release of his hard hitting, blockbuster autobiography last year, and a 50 date UK tour to celebrate 30 years of the iconic Hearsay album, it’s safe to say that fans still can’t get enough of the man from Minneapolis!

This show is presented by Middleborough based independent promotions company, Ten Feet Tall, and Tyne Theatre & Opera House are delighted to work with their brilliant team.

Theatre Director Joanne Johnson says: “I’m thrilled that we are able to expand our music programme for 2018. We’ve already welcomed Turin Brakes, Heather Small and Rebecca Ferguson to our stage this year, and there’s more coming up, including indie-pop best-sellers The Feeling, legendary rock icon Steve Harley, and now Alexander O’Neal! It’s an honour to have such a legendary singer grace the Tyne Theatre & Opera House stage.”

Tickets are priced at £33
