House of Fraser Confirms Intu Metrocentre Store is Set to be complete this November

Screen Shot 2015-10-13 at 11.27.49House of Fraser has confirmed that its multi-million pound refurbishment of its store in the Intu Metrocentre is due to be completed on Thursday 12th November 2015.

The major refurbishment and expansion of the prestigious department store began in July this year and it set to be unveiled in time for Christmas with 20 new brands on offer.

Once complete the new look store will house an expansive world class beauty hall, which will include luxury counters for all existing cosmetic houses and several new brands; Giorgio Armani, Jo Malone, Tom Ford, Nars, Urban Decay, Crème de la Mer, Kiehls, Creed and Acqua di Parma.  There will also be a pampering destination with beauty services such as a SHOW blow dry bar, Nails Inc nail bar, Estee Lauder 10 minute beauty bar and a Decleor spa.

The womenswear and fashion accessories departments will be transformed making way for premium brands such as Michael Kors, Lauren and Whistles. Lovers of shoes and can look forward to a ‘World of shoes’ concept also on the ground floor.

When the shopping is done, customers can retreat to new restaurant, Café Botanico which will have a Mediterranean feel offering prosecco, cocktails, pastries and a selection of classic Italian dishes.

Steve Clarke, Store Manager said:  “The new store is set to look phenomenal and we’re extremely proud of how the refurbishment is coming along. We’ve worked really hard to introduce new premium brands to Intu Metrocentre and the arrival of Jo Malone, Giorgio Armani and Michael Kors is very exciting.”

“The store has continued to trade during the refurbishment, with all building work being phased. We’re currently completing the beauty hall and can’t wait to welcome new and existing customers next month when we can really show off the stores transformation.”

House of Fraser is such an iconic department store in the centre and in the region; it’s been very exciting to watch the developments of the store over the past few months especially alongside our own redevelopments of the Qube.

“It’s fantastic to see new, premium brands such as Jo Malone, Crème de la Mer and Whistles opening in the centre for the first time.”
