Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Local singer-songwriter announces headline gig in Newcastle

Screen Shot 2015-11-12 at 12.02.17Acoustic singer-songwriter, Annabel Pattinson, is preparing for her first headline show at the O2 Academy 2 Newcastle in December.

The 21-year-old from Hebburn will perform with a full live band on December 19 – singing both original and cover songs.

The gig will complete a successful year for the singer after performances at iconic North East venues including Bonbar, the launch of Chez Mal and Newcastle Pride.

Annabel said: “I’m really excited for this gig. When I was younger, I would go to the O2 Academy to watch my favourite bands and now I’m actually headlining it.

“It’s an amazing opportunity, I still can’t believe it!”

The singer has already been lucky enough to play at the venue supporting local boy band, The Waiters, back in October.

She added: “It was great to play with The Waiters. The crowd were so excited and the atmosphere was great.”

“It just made me even more excited to headline my own show.”

The acoustic singer/guitarist has gigged across the country since the age of 15 as a solo performer, and has only recently expanded her opportunities by playing with a full band.

“Playing with a band is new to me – I am used to standing on a stage with just a microphone and a guitar.”

“It is a nice change to have people to perform with.”

Annabel will be supported on the night by Gateshead’s Geoff Mull, who appeared on The X Factor in 2014, and another special guest still TBC.

Tickets for the gig are available from the O2 Academy’s box office and online from ticketweb.
