Three County Durham landlords are helping tenants to communicate more effectively with their free training programme.
‘Communication Jungle’ is being hosted by Dale & Valley Homes, Durham City Homes and East Durham Homes, as part of County Durham Housing Group, and will help attendees get their message across more effectively.
The free session, which will take place on Wednesday, 9 December between 10am and 4pm at Durham City Homes, offers writing tips for things like letters and reports, covers listening skills, and also investigates the potential barriers to communication in today’s society.
Jean Steel, Involvement Team Leader at Durham City Homes, said: “The way we communicate has changed massively in the last 10 with people having a lot more choice in terms of how they choose to engage with one another.
“This informal session is a great way for people to build their confidence with using a range of correspondence methods, all to ensure they get the outcome they desire.”
Lunch will be provided and help to attend courses, such as transport, is available.
