County Durham Housing Group is reminding residents that there’s still time to sign up to the first of its ‘Employability Workshops’.
The free session, which will take place on Monday, 25 January from 10am at Mickle Grove Community Hub, will offer attendees advice on how and where to look for work, how to develop an effective CV, and the best way to write a covering letter.
Claire Maddison, Employment and Skills Officer at County Durham Housing Group, said: “This first workshop is ideal for anyone who is looking for work but doesn’t really know where to start.
“Sometimes it’s all about confidence, but with the right encouragement and some simple tips and advice, we can put people back on the road to employment.
“The second part of this free programme will take place on Thursday, 28 January, and will look at interview techniques, application forms and transitioning into work.”
