John AdamsonA NORTH-EAST hotelier is pledging more support for the region’s charities just weeks after being praised for his fundraising efforts.

John Adamson, owner of Hardwick Hall Hotel and Ramside Hall Hotel, County Durham, was publicly thanked for a £55,000 donation to Butterwick Hospice Care, Stockton, following a fundraising event in December 2014.

Now, the hospitality entrepreneur has announced plans to continue his charitable contribution, by hosting the tenth annual Lobster Charity Ball later this spring.

The black-tie event, being held at Hardwick Hall, Sedgefield on April 24, will feature entertainment from R&B sensation Jocelyn Brown, group Black and White and big band, Musicians Unlimited.

There will also be a fashion show, along with a four-course lobster surf and turf meal prepared by the award-winning chefs from the Rib Room Steakhouse and Grill.

All proceeds from the event, compered by north-east comedian and TV entertainer, Brendan Healy, will be donated to Stockton-based charity, Daisy Chain, which provides a safe, fun and friendly environment for children and families affected by autism.

John Adamson, said: “Supporting the region’s charities is something that I feel strongly about and I’m proud that we have already been able to make a real difference to a variety of amazing organisations, like Butterwick Hospice.

“The Lobster Festival is always a memorable event and 2015 will be no exception.  I hope that this year’s attendees will have a fantastic time and give generously in support of another very worthy cause, Daisy Chain.”

Tickets for the Lobster Charity Ball, including entry, dinner and selected free drinks throughout the evening, are priced at  £145+VAT per person.  For more information or to book call the Hardwick Hall Hotel’s events team on 01740 620253 or email info@hardwickhallhotel.co.uk.
