Following the success of last year’s family event at The Super 6 Stadium, we’re delighted to announce details of our 2019 Open Day, which will be held on Saturday 13th July.
Once again, it will be an afternoon packed full of fun activities for all of the family, with the opportunity to meet Craig Hignett and all of his players.
The afternoon will also include the launch of the brand new O’Neills home kit and the opening of the new Club Shop on Clarence Road.
The afternoon will begin at 1pm when supporters will start in the Prestige CK Stand for the annual team photo.
After the regular photos of the players, supporters will gather behind the team in the stands for one big group photograph.
From 1.30pm onward, there will be lots of inflatables and games for young supporters to enjoy as they also mix with the players – who will be there to join in all of the fun.
The brand new Club Shop will also open at 1.30pm, when fans will have a chance to see all of the work that has been carried out over the close season to relocate to the front of the stadium.
Supporters will be able to purchase the new O’Neills home kit, as well as a selection of the popular training kit from the Shop.
And we will also have a hog roast on site to make sure nobody goes hungry!
Chief Executive Mark Maguire admits the great atmosphere at last year’s event made this year’s Open Day a must,
“I’m excited that we have managed to arrange the Open Day for a Saturday this year after the event was such a success last pre-season.
“At the very heart of everything we want to achieve here is the bringing together of everybody associated with the Club to create a togetherness and a drive which will be the platform for the Club to move forward.
“Fans, key sponsors, players and staff will all be together in one place to celebrate the progress made so far and look forward to an exciting season ahead.
“I can’t wait to see the shop re-open in its rightful place on Clarence Road; the work is nearly complete and it felt like the perfect opportunity to open it whilst launching our new partnership with O’Neills and revealing their first kit design with the Club.
“Everyone behind the scenes is excited by the designs and determined to work harder than anybody else at this level to try and build on this progress by delivering success on the pitch.
“One of the highlights of the last open day was seeing the youngsters charging round filling their autograph sheets with the names of all the players and that for me summed up what the Club should be about.
“The uptake on Season Tickets to date has been phenomenal and everybody is determined to reward the fantastic support we have received, I hope as many fans as possible get along to join us on the day”
Entry into the Open Day is free and once again we’re hoping to see as many supporters as possible come along and enjoy what we expect to be another fun-packed afternoon.
