Tait Walker Helps Hexham School with IT Donation

SCHOOLCHILDREN in Hexham are set to benefit from an improved IT experience after one of the North East’s leading accountancy firms donated a number of monitors.

Tait Walker, which has an office in Morpeth, donated 18 flat-screen computer monitors to Queen Elizabeth High School after a receiving request from a pupil.

Tait Walker partner Steve Plaskitt’s son, Eddie, 15, attends the school and helped to organise the donation for his fellow pupils, which will see the school’s older monitors replaced with newer models, offering a clear and sharp picture for pupils during their computer studies classes.

Steve said: “When Eddie asked if there was anything that Tait Walker could do to help support the school we were more than happy to help. As part of the recent expansion of our head office in Newcastle we purchased new equipment for the growing team and so had some spare monitors, which we thought could be of use to the school.

“Providing pupils with the best equipment can make a real difference to their studies and we look forward to hearing about how the pupils get with on their new screens.”

Graeme Atkins, Executive Headteacher at Queen Elizabeth High School, added: “I would like to say a very big thank you to Tait Walker, and of course Eddie, for the generous donation of our new flat-screen computer monitors. The screens will offer an enhanced learning environment to our students and help them during their computer studies classes.”

Based in the heart of Hexham, Queen Elizabeth High School is a high achieving community school with approximately 1,300 students, including 370 in Sixth Form.
