Manor Walks hosts special Alice in Wonderland themed tea party this Easter

Children can have some Wonderland fun at Manor Walks this Easter when Alice and her friends drop by for a special tea party.

Lewis Carroll’s much-loved characters will be in Centre Mall from Wednesday 10th April until Friday 12th April from 10am – 3pm to attend a tea party with a twist with lots of weird and wonderful activities in the centre’s indoor garden.

Children will have the chance to meet, greet and be entertained whilst taking a seat at the Mad Hatter’s table. After a spot of tea, children can enjoy playing with giant chess boards and playing cards, before taking a selfie with the Alice in Wonderland characters at a special photo wall with themed props.

During the three days of free family fun, children can also take part in Alice in Wonderland themed events including making and decorating clocks and face painting on Friday 12th April only.

Bruno Coppola, General Manager at Manor Walks Shopping Centre, said: “We are really excited to be welcoming Alice in Wonderland and her friends during the Easter holidays. Our free character visits are always great fun and hugely popular with visitors.

“When visiting the centre we’d encourage families to spend the day and take full advantage of all our fantastic shopping, dining and leisure facilities. It’s a great place to combine activities for the whole family and we hope everyone will enjoy our exciting programme of events this Easter.

“We can’t wait to see Alice in Wonderland and fans at Manor Walks and hope everyone has a fantastic family day out!”

Manor Walks will be hosting loads of free, exciting family activities during the second week of the Easter Holidays. Children can join in with Easter themed colouring in and crafts between 10am – 3pm on Monday 15th to Thursday 18th April.

Then on Good Friday, 19th April, children can turn detective between 10am – 3pm by finding hidden eggs on a hunt through the shopping centre to spell the missing word to win an Easter treat.

Over the Easter holidays families can also enjoy a range of entertainment, including catching the latest cinema release at Vue Cramlington, or getting active at Concordia Leisure Centre with its range of activities such as bowling and Clip n Climb. Then after a jam-packed day, families can enjoy a bite to eat at Manor Walks’ range of restaurants including family favorites Sambucas, Nando’s and Frankie & Benny’s.
