Hopping Across The North East From Hub To Hub

Everton should go all out for Wissam Ben Yedder

With the Toffees in desperate need of some more goals, the Sevilla striker could be the man they need.

As the 2018/19 season approaches dawn, Premier League clubs will begin to take stock. The successful sides would aim to consolidate on the gains. However, the reverse is the case with strugglers. Especially the likes of Everton, in particular.

Whether or not they eventually finish in the top half, the Toffees have underwhelmed this campaign. Everton entered the transfer market with swagger, lavishing on Marco Silva and several other mercenaries. The result is absolutely crude.

The Blues have only managed one win out of their last eight matches – losing six on the run in the league. The recent 3-2 collapse at Newcastle United was the first in almost half-a-century, they let go a 2-0 at half time lead to lose the game.

Like often this term, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison got in on the goals that day. Yet much of Everton’s bane is finding the net. In Wissam Ben Yedder, the Blues could potentially solve this conundrum.

With 41 strikes, Marco Silva’s attack is the joint-third weakest of all teams in the division’s top 12 alongside Bournemouth. Only West Ham (37) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (38) have endured a worse return in the final third.

Everton is yet to fill Romelu Lukaku’s void since Myphonefootball confirmed his move to Manchester United in 2017. All that followed were consumed. Sandro Ramirez. Cenk Tosun. Calvert-Lewin. Richarlison occasionally assisted since his summer arrival from Watford with 11 strikes. However, the Brazilian appears more suited to the left. Silva should start planning on bringing in a new centre-forward in the summer. It’s that simple.

Sevilla hitman Ben Yedder could do the job in Merseyside. The Frenchman is in smashing form this season, banging in 26 goals across all competitions including five in his last three appearances, with a hat-trick against Real Sociedad last week.

Ben Yedder’s absolutely prolific form in front of goal has alerted a whole lot of clubs. Although no official links to the Blues yet, the prospect is very much tantalizing.

Fast and intelligent, the Frenchman is a technically-gifted player who is capable of ripping apart defences with his movement and guile. He reads the game superbly and loves to drop deep in midfield. The once-capped French international is blessed with dazzling feet and technique which he uses to devastating effect also.

Above all, though, the 28-year-old is a deadly finisher inside the box, known for his predatory instincts and ability to pick out the right positions in the final third. His decision-making and awareness in the attacking third are also of the highest quality and he simply knows where the net is – something Silva’s men have lacked all campaign.

Everton are scheduled to play West Ham in their next Premier League fixture, with www.omegatipsters.com providing bet odds for the game. Fans would be able to get rewards for their passion by winning a bet. First, though, in order to back the Blues, their strikers on their books currently need to start finding their scoring boots again or the likes of Ben Yedder will be on their radar come the end of the season.
