Flares, big hair and platforms… is this bringing back memories of the 70’s? Willow Burn Hospice is proud to announce its new event featuring all of the fun of this decadent era, Bjorn to be ABBA, sing a long on Friday 7th September at the Empire Theatre in Consett.
2018 has been a big year for ABBA fans with the launch of the new Mama Mia film and the incredible announcement that ABBA will be releasing their first song in over 30 years so this is the perfect time to release your inner dancing queen and say thank you to the music in true ABBA style!
Bjorn to be ABBA is a super trouper interactive show for young and old alike that will have you singing along and dancing in your seats; Fancy dress is encouraged to help recreate the vibrancy of the 70’s so get out your tie dye shirts and midi skirts and join in the fun!
Sara Walton, lead vocalist from Storm Band said “With over 10 years’ experience, proudly delivering Abba music to all kinds of events all over the UK, we are committed to guaranteeing a first class performance every time. With top quality musicianship and vocals, our carefully sculpted playlist will take our audiences on an amazing journey, during which they will experience a variety of emotions. Our goal is not just to offer people the chance to hear Abba music, but the opportunity to really feel Abba music. Our talented team will passionately deliver a high-energy show, which will be fun and interactive, whilst authentic and heartfelt. Much more than merely an Abba tribute, we like to think what we offer is an Abba experience, and one not to be missed!”
Siobhan Marsh, Community Fundraiser at Willow Burn Hospice said “We are really excited about this event as it is the first time we have held something like this in Consetts much loved Empire Theatre. We are hoping to raise over £5,000 for Willow Burn which will help us continue to do our vital work in the local community but we also want people to let their hair down and have fun!”
