In 2020, athletes across the world are choosing a courageous optimism in making sport a daily habit indoors. Of course, competition is also a characteristic that defines the world of sport, and not just competing against your personal best — but friendly competition against others too. The Living Room Cup, a digital workout series debuting April 5, offers a new space to compete against Nike pro athletes through weekly fitness challenges.
The third challenge is a side-step shuffle from footballer Leroy Sané, shown from his Instagram account, in which competitors will have 45 seconds to complete as many reps as possible. Sané will give his followers one week to beat his best mark, then he’ll pass the competition over to the next athlete for a new challenge. Dedicated workouts to help provide a competitive advantage during each week’s challenge will be made available on the Nike Training Club app. Players can share their results on their Instagram profiles using the hashtags #playinside and #thelivingroomcup.
The Living Room Cup is another example of Nike’s holistic approach to supporting all athletes in their indoor wellness journey.
