UTILITY Alliance is delighted to be seeing its name in lights after signing a deal with neighbours Middlesbrough Football Club.

The energy broker set up in 2015, and after employing 70 staff and starting a recent recruitment drive to double the workforce at its Hartlepool base, business is booming.

Management duo Darren Sutherland and Bob Moore, both big football fans, were impressed by Aitor Karanka’s team’s march to the Premier League last season and when the opportunity to get behind the Boro for the new campaign came along they couldn’t wait to get signed up.

Darren said: “The whole place was buzzing when Middlesbrough got promoted, and you can feel the excitement now the new season has kicked off.

“As a business we have had a great start, and we always said in our initial business that we wanted to get involved in things like this as we grew.

“We’re delighted to be involved with Boro, and we wish Aitor Karanka and his players all the very best for what we’re sure will be a memorable season in the Premier League.”

The business specialises in consulting with other firms to take a closer look at their energy usage and help make savings as well as lowering their carbon footprint.

Utility Alliance works with businesses of all sizes, ranging from local shops to hospitals, hotels, schools and office complexes.

After signing up to the season-long Business+ sponsorship package, Utility Alliance will see its name in lights on the pitchside advertising at every single home game at the Riverside Stadium, and will also feature on TV screens located around the stadium as well as in the matchday programme.

Darren said: “The Premier League is quite rightly regarded as the best league in the world, and with fixtures being beamed around the globe each week the exposure is fantastic.

“We’re still a relatively new company, and we are confident we can continue to grow with the help of Middlesbrough FC.”

A spokesman for Middlesbrough FC said: “We are thrilled to have Utility Alliance as a Business+ Partner this season.

“May we wish the company every success for the future.”
