A NORTH East-based global provider of construction information and knowledge management services is expanding overseas into Canada and Australia.
NBS, provider of technical information, specification and BIM tools to construction industry professionals, has acquired Digicon Information Inc, a Canadian publication and consulting company which provides specification data in Canada and North America.
Digicon is a well-established source for construction related information in the form of master specifications, software and BIM tools.
This move is the latest stage in planned international expansion for Newcastle headquartered NBS, who launched a subsidiary, NBS Knowledge Pty Ltd, in Australia at the start of the year.
Following the announcement at a VIP event last night, (Tuesday 24 January), attended by ITV’s Pam Royle and the Lord Mayor of Newcastle Hazel Stephenson, at NBS’ newly refurbished home, The Old Post Office, St Nicholas St, Chief Executive Richard Waterhouse said the company’s decision to expand overseas had been in direct response to customer demand.
