A new networking round-table for the food industry is holding its second meeting next month and is urging businesses across the region to join.

Hosted by FEG Ltd, who specialise in design and build, project management and consultancy for industrial, manufacturing and process industries, Foodies Unite aims to bring together food organisations large and small from across the North of England. The event will be facilitated by food-specialist training company totrain.

In association with NEPIC, Foodies Unite held its inaugural meeting in July which brought together senior representatives from the food industry across the region.

Helen Hood, Director at totrain, said: “The roundtable was formed to provide a platform for discussion on relevant topics within the sector and the first meeting was a huge success.

“The group brings together those people involved in the food industry across the North and is a chance for people who have a passion for the sector to join together and help it promote a positive image of the industry.

“It’s a chance to for us all to share best practice and create a strong network of professionals who have a voice and a place to discuss important topics with other like-minded people.

“It’s not just for large organisations either. Representatives of organisations of any size working in the food sector are welcome. We share the issues we face as well as the excellence there is across the region, driving quality in the sector.”

The event is being held on Thursday November 8th between 9.30am and 12pm and will be hosted by FEG Ltd at Evolve Business Centre, Cygnet Way, Rainton Bridge, South Business Park, Houghton-le-Spring, DH4 5QY.

There will be a chance to network with food sector colleagues over lunch.
