STYLE-savvy shoppers will be able to get a glimpse of the summer’s hottest looks at a fashion event in Stockton this weekend (3-4 June).

Major brands and high street retailers will hit the catwalk as the town’s Business Improvement District hosts its first Fabulous Fashion Show.

Shops from High Street along with Wellington Square and Castlegate Shopping Centres will be showcasing top trends and sizzling summer looks.

Four shows will be held each day in High Street, with major retailers including Debenhams, River Island, M&S, Top Shop and New Look, Evans, Roman, Peacocks and Bon Marche along with leading cosmetic brand No 7.

These will be joined by a selection of home grown local shops including The Boutique at Poppys, Review Menswear and Stylish.

The fashion shows will be the latest in a line events taking place in town centre this summer, as part of the BID’s objective to bring the community closer together.

“With just a couple of days to go, everyone is working hard behind the scenes to make sure our first fashion show is a huge success,” said BID manager Karen Hindhaugh.

“We have a host of big retailers on board keen to showcase this season’s biggest looks, with something for all ages, styles and budgets to enjoy.

“Stockton has a lot to offer shoppers and events like these give people from the town and further afield the chance to see what our town has to offer, and hopefully it will encourage more visitors who will want to return in the future.

Stockton BID was launched in November 2016 to help attract new businesses into the town centre and boost the local economy. It also works hard to create better deals for companies with utility providers and parking schemes.

Through events like the fashion show, it gives firms the chance to work together and involve the local community, encouraging shoppers to support local businesses.

The shows will be held at 11.30am, 12.15pm, 1.30pm and 2.15pm on Saturday 3 and 1.30pm, 2.15pm, 3pm and 3.45pm on Sunday 4 June.
